Poplar OSB 3 board is made of layered poplar strands which are bonded by hot pressing. Thanks to the crosswise layered structure, the possibility of shrinking and swelling due to variations in humidity is reduced. Poplar OSB strands are obtained from debarked logs of poplar, are about 15-30 mm wide and a few tenths of a millimeter thick, much thinner than those used for standard OSB panels. Poplar OSB board is lightweight, well-performing and aesthetically pleasing. The product is environmentally friendly, economical, and multi-functional. Poplar OSB 3 compared to traditional OSB, guaranteeing a unique mechanical-weight performance ratio. The panel is bonded with high-performance polymeric MDI (methylene diphenyl di-isocyanate) and resistant to humidity.
The advantages of product are light and uniform color, no added formaldehyde, moisture resistance, lightweight, mechanical performance, easy to work and cut.
Applications: OSB is an engineered wood strand panel designed to be very strong, hard-wearing, smooth, and defect-free, making it a superior alternative to some plywood available on the market. Ideal for all manner of building projects - from flooring, roofing, and timber-frame housing to smaller-scale applications such as packaging, exhibition stand construction, and boarding-up open windows on-site for temporary security - OSB's strength and reliability originate largely from the way in which it is produced. Flooring, wall and ceiling lining, equipment for commercial vehicles, architecture, design, building and construction, transport, furniture, joinery.
Processing options: Poplar OSB can be stained or painted. It is suitable for CNC routing. Edges must be sealed with clear acrylic paint to avoid swelling, especially when used in dump areas. Density 530 kg/m3
