Is your plywood eco-friendly?

Short answer, yes. Most manufactured plywood has a level of formaldehyde emissions due to the glue used in bonding, however we are proud to say that our plywood (birch and poplar) are sourced from European manufacturers, so they are in line with The European Standard EN 13986 for E1 classification (source).Our plywood's formaldehyde emission level can therefore be no greater than 0.124 mg/m3. This is a safe eco-friendly threshold to ensure use for applications such as pet kennels, nesting boxes and children's play equipment. Hardwood plywood we stock: Birch Plywood, Maple Plywood, Eucalyptus Plywood. Hardwood species are stronger, more tolerant to moisture and insect attacks and even can be immersed in water, more durable due to higher content of the natural formaldehyde and flavonoids and suitable for heavy-duty applications.Softwood plywood we stock: Poplar Plywood, Erima Plywood. These species are more porous, lighter in weight and have lower density.
