Bonzano, now part of Bnext, is a globally respected leader in engineered wood panels, known for its innovation, technical excellence, and commitment to sustainable manufacturing.

Bnext introduced the world’s first poplar-based Oriented Strand Board (OSB) - a breakthrough in the engineered wood sector. This unique product is made using large, thin poplar strands (up to 120 × 40 mm and only 0.8 mm thick), delivering a superior mechanical-to-weight ratio. Bonded with high-performance MDI glue, the panels are formaldehyde-free and highly workable, with a clean, uniform appearance.

Sustainability is central to Bnext’s production model. The company operates on circular economy principles - utilising wood waste, branches, and offcuts as biofuel or raw material for other industries such as packaging, pulp, and pellet production. Poplar is at the core of Bnext’s environmental strategy: it is light, fast-growing, easy to process, and requires fewer inputs, helping preserve soil and water. The use of the I-214 poplar clone, in particular, enhances carbon absorption and rapid biomass development within a 10-year cycle.
